11/15/2008 – Monica To Perform At BETJ Virtual Awards


BET J bridges the worlds of music and virtual reality to bring viewers its first ever awards show, the BET J VIRTUAL AWARDS, slated to premiere on BET J on Tuesday, November 25 at 8:30 p.m. ET, followed by an encore online broadcast at 10:00 p.m. ET on BET.com.

Hosted by critically-acclaimed actress Nia Long and comedian Chris Spencer, the “virtual” broadcast will feature red-hot performances from Washington DC , New York and Atlanta hotspots – all from a stunning, ground-breaking virtual environment!

Monica is set to perform along with Ledisi, Robin Thicke, Erykah Badu, Wyclef Jean, Estelle, Raheem DeVaughn, Gnarls Barkley, Chrisette Michele and The Roots.

Monica attended the "How Sweet the Sound™, a Gospel Celebration" over the weekend. The event was said to have showcased the best choirs in Atlanta. Ne-Yo, Gabrielle Union and Essence Atkins were a few of the celebrities spotted in the building. Check Out The Gallery for more pictures!!

11/1/2008 – Rumor Control


We broke news last month about Monica and Keyshia Cole hooking up for a record while out in L.A. While performing at Hampton University's Homecoming Concert, Monica announced she was excited about some of the recent work she has been doing including a track with Keyshia Cole called "Trust". She did NOT say this was the lead single for the new album. So far Ludacris, Rocko and Keyshia are the only guests confirmed for the LP. Official single news will be announced soon!
